Gedo said in televised statements on the Rimontada program broadcast on Al-Mehwar satellite channel: "There are approximately 7 players who are candidates to leave the Egyptian national team list before traveling to Kuwait.

He continued, "I expect Mohamed Sharif and Ahmed Yasser Rayan to leave the national team's list after the professionals joined."


And he concluded: “In addition to Khaled Sobhi and Hussam Abdel Majeed, in the presence of Baher Al-Muhammadi, Mahmoud Alaa, Ali Jabr and Ahmed Hegazy.”
