UN representative: Egypt's presidency of the climate summit contributed to reaching innovative solutions for implementation

 




Simon Steele, Executive Secretary of the United Nations Convention on Climate Change, stressed that dealing with climate change is essential for development, adding that the COP27 summit has set milestones, especially on financing damages and losses.

He added, in his speech at the closing session of the Climate Conference, chaired by Sameh Shoukry, that the Climate Conference COP 27 established a fund for damages and losses resulting from climate change.

 

Steele praised Egypt's presidency of the climate summit, stressing that it was keen on a just transition and was able to reach innovative solutions to facilitate the implementation of solutions for all parties.
