Manchester United advanced to the fourth round of the EFL Cup, after its exciting 4/2 victory over its guest Aston Villa, on Thursday, in the third round of the competition.



At Old Trafford, the first half ended in a 0-0 draw, after the players of both teams failed to translate the chances they had into goals, unlike the second half, which was characterized by excitement, fun and goals from the first moment.

Ole Watkins scored for Aston Villa in the 48th minute, but the visiting team did not enjoy their long lead, after Manchester United equalized through Anthony Martial in the next minute.


Aston Villa returned to advance again with a goal that came through friendly fire, after Manchester United's Diogo Dalot scored an own goal in the 61st minute.


Manchester United ended the meeting in his favour, after Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay scored the third and fourth goals for the team nicknamed (Red Devils) in the 78th and 90th minutes, respectively. With that result, Manchester United avenged its 3-1 loss against Aston Villa, last Sunday, at Villa Park, in the English Premier League.
